Mr. McCurdy innovated a simple yet effective solution for finding lost eye glasses. Goldstein Patent Law sought and obtained a broad patent, effectively covering his concept so that he could compete on a level playing field with larger, more established companies.
"I know of two instances where other companies were interested in duplicating my product and tried to break my patent, but gave up after their patent attorneys told them it was pointless. I now have my Eyeglass Locator on the market and it's a dream come true."

When our client found a way to solve a hair problem of her own, she realized it could help any woman look like a Hollywood starlet. While Mia had seen actresses wearing something similar, she didn’t know her idea could be mass-produced until Goldstein Patent Law found out that no patents existed. That’s when the Tonytail was born.
"My first patented invention helped me grow a single product into a company with an entire line of hair accessories and other beauty products. In the course of enforcing my patent rights against competitors, other intellectual patent attorneys have complimented me on how broadly my patent application was written."

Lou Sardo is not your typical inventor. The third-generation cloth craftsman in the bus and transit industry has a few side hobbies. One of Lou’s pastimes on the billiards table led him to develop a racking device that ended up on ESPN. When your invention is seen on the world’s leading sports network, protecting it from well-funded knock-offs is a must. That’s where Goldstein Patent Law came in. We helped Lou obtain solid protection for his product. We have since worked with Lou and his brother, Phil, on a variety of patent projects, despite never having met them face-to-face.
“I want people to know that [Goldstein Patent Law] really went to bat for me when it mattered most. While most of the patents they got for me went through on the first shot, for those that didn’t, they fought hard to get them approved. As a result, my products sell around the world, and generate millions. In my book, they are the best!”

As a former NFL player, Jesse Nicassio is no stranger to intense physical training. When he wanted to share his secrets with other athletes and the general public, he transformed his workout into a resistance band designed to increase training intensity by 75 percent. Goldstein Patent Law helped Jesse develop the right patent strategy to protect his new MASS Suit—an exercise product that adjusts to increase or decrease resistance, depending on how strong or fatigued the user feels.
"Entering any unknown area can be scary, especially when that area involves risk, money and possibly your dreams. You made this transaction to getting my product patented very easy and, most importantly, very comfortable. All of our time and money was well spent. It has been a fun and easy experience with tons of knowledge gained throughout each and every step of obtaining my patent. Thank you so much for walking me through the patent process. I have and will keep referring clients to you, as I trusted your work and dedication with my company and products."

The Styro-loc team developed a new technology to prevent warping on the rooftop edges of shopping centers. This invention was designed as the most cost-effective, structurally secure solution for developers to maintain the longevity of big-box stores, the construction of which is a multi-billion-dollar industry.
"[Goldstein Patent Law] took the time to understand my ideas and the application of these ideas. [The firm] successfully submitted and secured five United States Patents and one Trademark, and all with the first submittal to the United States Patent Office.”

Our client pioneered a system for easy installation of the detectable warning surfaces ("warning dots") which help many disabled individuals safely cross intersections here in the United States. Because the American's with Disabilities Act requires that these surfaces be installed at millions of walkway transition points around the country, it was key that Goldstein Patent Law's IP strategy resulted in several patents that cover both the product and the installation process.
"Richard Goldstein has proven to me his ability to get my ideas patented. He has and will go the distance, striving to bridge the gap between inventor and the USPTO. For my last patent, [Goldstein] assisted the Patent Examiner in understanding the differences between my patent and a prior art resulting in my issued patent. Because he has taken extraordinary steps to help me work with the USPTO, Richard Goldstein would be the first patent attorney I will think of when filing my next patent."
Lt. Bishop spent two decades fighting fires for the New York City Fire Department, so it’s not surprising that when he came to Goldstein Patent Law, he was looking to protect and pursue an invention called the Power Jamb, which is a training tool used for breaking down doors. With the invention of the Power Jamb, Bishop solved a quandary that the FDNY and other departments were having: that it was seemingly impossible for firefighters to practice breaking down a door without destroying it each time. The FDNY was Bishop's first customer, buying several Power Jambs. According to Bishop, in 2006, nationwide sales of the Power Jamb grossed over $200,000. In 2008, Lt. Bishop’s patent was put to the test. The NYFD was replicating and using his design without purchasing more Power Jamb units. But without going into litigation, Lt. Bishop was able to defend his patent and stop their infringement.
“After working with you for more than 12 years, I would gladly recommend your firm to anyone considering the patent process. The expertise and professional way you handled and expedited my patent cases has helped me create and protect the success I have today. The skill used in wording my patents has even helped me defend and win a lawsuit."

Our client developed a system for attaching and hoisting a mobility scooter at the back of a user’s vehicle. Mr. Dimand wanted to secure protection prior to entering into the manufacturing phase of bringing his new product to market. We secured a utility patent to protect his invention, and his product is currently being manufactured, distributed and sold in various outlets nationwide.
"Your service, response and dedication made the filing process easy. Both patents you recorded for me seemed to have gone smoothly, and when there was a need, you solved the problem. Thanks to your dedication, my patent is protected and my business is growing safely.”
